Colour: deep ruby red, with violet reflections, verging on garnet with aging
Bouquet: complex, of great impact, pleasantly spicy, with hints of black cherry, small fruits of the forest, green pepper and dry & dried hay
Taste: soft, balanced, fresh and high persistence

Perfect foil with: game meats, cold cuts, grilled red meats, medium and long-aged cheeses. This is a meditation wine, silky and pleasantly drinkable, an excellent companion for a relaxing after dinner.
Our Super Tuscan "Rovaio" is born from the blend of the native Sangiovese grape with two noble Bordeaux vines, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is a wine that combines structure, intensity, complexity and elegance. The vinification is separated for each single grape variety. The individual wines mature for 18 months in new Tonneaux. The first edition of this long aging wine dates back to 1995, entirely produced in San Gimignano.
